“It was important because I never wanted this project to feel fake,” he said. “Anybody can talk about money, cars, or success, but I wanted people to hear the real side of me too.”
The song was inspired by real-life loss, grief, and emotions that he does not always discuss publicly.
When asked which records best represent who he is today, HollyHood pointed directly to Mental Health Awareness and 3AM In My Room.
“I'd probably say Mental Health Awareness and 3AM In My Room,” he said. “Mental Health Awareness came from real-life loss, grief, and emotions that I don't always speak on publicly. 3AM In My Room was more like a letter to myself and the people around me.”
According to HollyHood, the record serves as a reflection of where he came from, where he was mentally, and where he ultimately wants to go.
“Those two records are probably the rawest and most honest versions of PG HollyHood you'll hear on the album. If somebody wants to understand me beyond the music, I'd tell them to start there.”

“Connecticut shaped me mentally, physically, and creatively,” he said.

“A lot of people look at Connecticut and think about places like Yale or all the successful businesses here, but there's a whole culture and community that doesn't always get recognized.”
He credits Connecticut's versatility as one of its greatest strengths.
“What makes Connecticut special is our ability to adapt. Whether it's a New York sound, a Detroit sound, an Atlanta sound, or an LA sound, Connecticut artists know how to take inspiration from different places and make it our own.”

The biggest challenge was staying focused through life's obstacles while trusting the vision he had for the album.

“The moment I realized the album was becoming something special was when all the pieces started fitting together—the intro, the interludes, the features, and the ending,” he said. “That's when it stopped feeling like a bunch of songs and started feeling like an actual story.”
That storytelling approach can be heard throughout the project, which features Baby Ty, Lil Eazyy, Dracodontjam, Ponchii, Rarii, and Fuego Flock.
Rather than adding features simply for name recognition, HollyHood selected artists who could contribute to the overall vision and elevate each record.
